希臘紓困協議通過立法之後，它與債權集團終於可以進入執行階段的協商，許多希臘人覺得紓困條件太苛刻，德國總理梅克爾則說，不只是希臘，對債權人來說，第三波紓困也是個痛苦的決定，這將是它們最後一次救希臘。
希臘的第三波紓困，錢要怎麼給，執行細節的協商少說也得花上好幾個禮拜，在這段過渡期間，歐元集團將先提供七十億歐元給希臘應急。它們希望經過這一次努力之後，真的可以把希臘經濟拉回正軌。
希臘總理（齊普拉斯）星期五改組了內閣，前一天在國會表決紓困協議中投下反對票的閣員，都遭到撤換。
在部份歐元區國家，紓困希臘，也必須通過國會批准，德國成為最後一個完成表決的國家，德國總理梅克爾在投票前警告，如果提案被否決，可能引發一場災難。
